Ramsay House Review

The best place to start a tour of Alexandria's Old Town is at the Alexandria Visitors Center at Ramsay House, the home of the town's first postmaster and lord mayor, William Ramsay. The unusually helpful staff hands out brochures, maps for self-guided walking tours, and 24-hour permits for free parking at any two-hour metered spot. You can also use a free computer station to plan your travels.
