Fort Harrison
Fort Harrison Review
Also known as the Daniel Harrison House, Fort Harrison (from circa 1749) is of fortified stone and decorated in prosperous frontier style. Harrison was Dayton's first settler, and this is the oldest house in the town. Costumed interpreters discuss how the furnishings—beds with ropes as slats and hand-quilted comforters—were made. Artifacts on display come from recent excavations undertaken adjacent to the house.
