The Dayton Farmers Market, an 18,000-square-foot area, has homemade baked goods and fresh fruits and vegetables as well as butter churns and ceramic speckleware, made by the Mennonites who live in the area. It's one place to mingle with the craftspeople, as well as with students from James Madison University in nearby Harrisonburg. It's open Thursday-Sunday.
