There are four lodgings along the parkway and countless more nearby. Seasonal options run the gamut, from housekeeping cabins to rustic-looking but modern lodges with full-service restaurants; only Peaks of Otter Lodge (Milepost 85.9) is open year-round. Vacancies are rare in October, and almost as scarce on major holidays and summer weekends; to be safe, make your reservations as far in advance as possible. Off-parkway options include inexpensive chain motels, B&Bs, and elegant country inns.
