Fodor's Review:
Step into this restored 18th-century inn, and you're carried back 200 years. The sitting rooms and pub are paneled with rich, dark wood and decorated with hand-stenciled walls, Oriental rugs, and fine paintings. Behind the bar are 92 varieties of single-malt scotch, available to guests on the honor system. Outside, 7 acres of lawn and English gardens drop gently down to a golf course. Rooms contain period antiques and original artwork; six have fireplaces and eight have four-poster beds.
