Canoeing

Fishing

For information about fishing, including licenses, call the Vermont Fish and Wildlife Department. Strictly Trout will arrange a fly-fishing trip on any Vermont stream or river, including the Battenkill.

Hiking

The Green Mountain Club publishes hiking maps and guides. The club also manages the Long Trail, the north-south trail that traverses the entire state. New England Hiking Holidays leads guided walks with lodging in country inns.

Horseback Riding

Kedron Valley Stables has one- to six-day riding tours with lodging in country inns. The Vermont Icelandic Horse Farm conducts year-round guided riding expeditions on easy-to-ride Icelandic horses.
