This two-level converted barn has the best nightlife in southern Vermont, and a fun dining room to boot. The restaurant has been here for 30 years, but you'd believe 100. The upper level is the dining room—the big A-frame has wagon wheels and a carriage suspended from the ceiling. Settle in near the huge fireplace for rack of lamb, free-range chicken, or penne à la vodka. Downstairs is the tavern where there's Irish music, half-price Guinness, and fish-and-chips on Wednesday. Other nights there might be live music, karaoke, or video bowling. The bar operates daily year-round.
