The Vermont Country Store

The Vermont Country Store Review

The Vermont Country Store is an old-fashioned emporium selling all manner of items. The store was first opened in 1946 and is still run by the Orton family, though it has become something of an empire, with a large catalog and online business. One room is set aside for Vermont Common Crackers and bins of fudge and other candy. In others you'll find nearly forgotten items such as Lilac Vegetol aftershave and horehound drops, as well as practical items such as sturdy outdoor clothing and even typewriters. Nostalgia-evoking implements dangle from the store's walls and rafters. (There's a second location on Route 103 in Rockingham.)
