Bennington

Bennington is the commercial focus of Vermont's southwest corner. It's really three towns in one: Downtown Bennington, Old Bennington, and North Bennington. Downtown Bennington, where U.S. 7 and U.S. 9 intersect, has retained much of the industrial character it developed in the 19th century, when paper mills, gristmills, and potteries formed the city's economic base.
