If you think simplicity is bliss and love the outdoors, give this place a try. In winter it's a mecca for cross-country skiing (50 mi of groomed trails). In summer there's a giant lake for swimming and boating (sculling and running camps are held here). Two two-story simple lodges have rooms with communal TV/library areas. Many share baths. The simplest rooms have two twin beds and a wooden peg to hang a towel. Meals are served buffet-style. Cabin D is a paradisiacal setup, a simple three-bedroom cabin right on the edge of the lake. Pros: outdoor heaven, activities galore. Cons: many rooms have a shared bath, many are sparely furnished.
