Fodor's Review:

Animal lovers will want to stay at this 470-acre estate, which also houses a farm animal sanctuary. Nature lovers have a hard time staying away, too: the panoramic, hilltop views are incredible and over 100 miles of cross-country skiing, snowshoe, hiking, and mountain-biking trails are right at the doorstep. The renovated 1890 creamery at the heart of the property has attractive, spacious guest rooms furnished with antiques and handmade quilts. There is no restaurant, but there is a bar, and wine and cheese is served daily. Pros: family-friendly; incredible scenery and setting. Cons: No dinner.
