Permits in Zion NP
Permits
Permits are required for backcountry camping and overnight climbs. The maximum size of a group hiking into the backcountry is 12 people. The cost for a permit for 1-2 people is $10; 3-7 people, $15; and 8-12 people, $20. Permits and hiking information are available at the Zion Canyon Visitor Center.
