Horseback Riding in Zion National Park

Grab your hat and boots and see Zion Canyon the way the pioneers did—on the back of a horse or mule. This is a sure way to make your trip to Zion National Park memorable. Only one outfitter is licensed to guide tours within park boundaries. Easy going, one-hour and half-day trips are available, with a minimum age of 7 and 10 years respectively. Maximum weight on either trip is 220 pounds.

Outfitters & Expeditions

Canyon Trail Rides. These friendly folks have been around for years, and they are the only outfitter for trail rides inside the park. Anyone over age seven can participate in guided rides along the Virgin River. The horses work from late March through October; you may want to make reservations ahead of time.
