The lobby of this colonial-style building, constructed in 1929, is lined with photos of movie stars, including Ronald Reagan and Barbara Stanwyk, who stayed here while filming in the area. Some of the spacious rooms have plaques over the doors to tell you who stayed here before you. The lodge barn, which housed Victor Mature's camels during the making of Timbuktu, is now a playhouse, where old-time Western melodramas are performed in summer. Pro: Film buffs will enjoy sleeping among the ghosts of Hollywood past. Con: The dining room serves breakfast only from April through October.
