Fodor's Review

This restaurant is one of the state's best. White plaster walls are a perfect setting for the local art on display in the intimate dining room, or you can dine outside on the patio. Innovative Southwestern entrées include marinated Utah lamb, and beef tenderloin medallions topped with roasted-shallot butter. The rattlesnake cakes, made with free-range desert rattler and served with ancho-rosemary aioli, are delicious and a steadfast menu item. House-made pastries, served with ice cream, are made with fruits picked at nearby Fruita, many of the vegetables and herbs come from the restaurant's own organic farm, just down the road, and other ingredients are carefully selected from local producers. The international wine list is well chosen and reasonably priced.
