Fodor's Review

If you're traveling scenic Highway 12 between Capitol Reef and Bryce Canyon national parks, don't miss this wonderful lodge with a fireplace in the two-story great room and award-winning Hell's Backbone restaurant on the premises. There's an 11-acre pond and bird sanctuary on the pastoral grounds and horses graze in a meadow opposite. Spacious rooms are furnished in a Western contemporary style with balconies and patios offering gorgeous views of the wetlands. Amenities include plush robes and a large outdoor hot tub. Ask about discount rates for the low season.
