Fodor's Review

Salt Lake City's scale is family-friendly, and the Aviary is a prime example. Easily walkable for even the smallest kids, this facility features more than 100 species of birds found on the Western Hemispheric Flyway, a migratory pattern that includes Great Salt Lake. You will see emus, bald eagles, flamingos, parrots, and several types of waterfowl. Don't be startled by the wandering peacocks! One of the aviary's missions is to educate the public about birds native to

Utah and their corresponding ecosystems. There are bird shows and educational activities daily.

Nice, if not extensive

This aviary is very pleasant, if not extensive. It's part of Liberty Park, an enjoyable place in its own right. Worth a visit.
