La-Cai Noodle House

La-Cai Noodle House Review

The noodle house, named for a historic restaurant district in Saigon, is a place where the attentive owners and staff have gone to great lengths to re-create the cuisine of southern Vietnam. Despite its unassuming location amid a car dealership strip just south of downtown, a recent complete interior renovation ensures an extraordinary meal and experience once you step through the doors. The menu ranges from traditional basics such as pho (beef noodle soup) to unique entrées like walnut shrimp in a creamy white sauce, salt-baked calamari, and fondues. Portions are huge and service is impeccable, so it's no surprise that this seemingly off-the-radar slice of Saigon is consistently considered one of Salt Lake's best options for authentic Vietnamese and Chinese fare.
