La-Cai Noodle House

La-Cai Noodle House Review

Named for a historic restaurant district in Saigon, the attentive owners and staff have gone to great lengths to re-create the cuisine of southern Vietnam. Despite its unassuming location amid a car dealership strip just south of downtown, a massive interior renovation in 2009 ensures an extraordinary meal and experience once you step through the doors. The southern Vietnamese cuisine ranges from traditional basics like pho (beef noodle soup) to unique entrées like walnut shrimp in a creamy white sauce, salt-baked calamari, and fondues. Portions are huge and service is impeccable so it's no surprise this seemingly off-the-radar slice of Saigon is consistently considered one of Salt Lake's best options for authentic Vietnamese and Chinese fare.
