SVEA Review

This off-the-beaten-path B&B is in a 19th-century building on the edge of the historic Sugar House district. Owners Jeff and Karin Gauvin bought Parrish Place in 2006 and have injected enthusiastic friendly service, upgraded furnishings, and personality. There are five unique rooms, each featuring a Maxfield Parrish print such as Daybreak (considered the top-selling print in American art history). Some rooms feature elegant fireplace mantles, four-poster beds, and claw-foot tubs. The owners are licensed massage therapists.

    Humble Home away from Home

    Wow! I was impressed with this bed and breakfast. Stayed for one night on the last few days of our honeymoon. Felt great to treat ourselves with this historic home. Creaky stairs and four-post bed and all, it was so romantic. The best part: we checked in and paid with our credit card on an iPad! The room and bathroom were very clean and decorated beautifully. Bed was super comfy. They offer a cold breakfast in the morning and it was so yummy - muffins, granola, yogurt, orange juice, and coffee/tea. My favorite part was the sun-room which provided a place to relax and get free drinks (coffee, soda, water and tea). Wish we stayed one more night. Hopefully we can come back again!
