Liberty Park Review

Salt Lake City is blessed with numerous large city parks, and Liberty Park is one of the favorites. Salt Lake's earliest and biggest city park features the Tracy Aviary, the Chase House, several playgrounds, a large pond, a swimming pool and tennis complex, and carnival rides in the summer on its eight square city blocks. Native American powwows, concerts, the city's biggest Pioneer Day celebration (July 24), and running races dot a busy summer schedule annually. Kids will love clambering on the fountain that represents the seven major canyons of the Wasatch Front.

Very pleasant park with a few extras

This is a very pleasant urban park, popular with families. It contains an enjoyable aviary, a small amusement ride area, and a little folk art museum (this last contains all recent items, nothing really historic). It's a little time consuming to reach via bus, but worth the jaunt.
