Hogle Zoo Review

You'll never confuse this with the San Diego Zoo, but this 42-acre zoo nestled at the base of Emigration Canyon has been a perfect half-day destination for families since 1931. It's also a bargain compared to some of the country's bigger zoos. Its Asian Highlands area showcases big cats, the Elephant Encounter has a baby born in 2009, and you'll find many species native to the West, including wolves and bison, among its 1,400 animals. A children's zoo, carousel, miniature train, interactive exhibits, and special presentations make visits informative and engaging for both adults and children.
