Fodor's Expert Review Lamb's Grill Café
Editor's Note: This location is no longer in operation.
Founded by Greek immigrant George Lamb in 1919, this downtown power-broker's favorite has demonstrated unusual staying power. With its long marble counter, deco-style trim, and cozy mahogany booths, one of the city's oldest dining establishments has aged well. It's a white-tablecloth kind of place, where you can still indulge in an old-fashioned barbecued lamb shank or blackened salmon at a reasonable price. The longtime Greek owners have added a few Mediterranean touches to the big menu.
