Wahso Asian Grill Review

Warm finger towels, curtained booths, and attentive service in an elegant dining room recall the Jazz-era Orient. Start your evening with a sake martini shaken tableside, then ask your server about starters that span the continent, from steamed Chinese buns to tom kha gai, a delicious chicken-and-lemongrass soup from Thailand. Delve into the subcontinent with sweet-and-savory Madras chicken, or stay closer to your comfort zone with a porcini filet mignon. As with many Park City restaurants, summer is a great time to savor Wahso as prices drop and getting a table is easier.

    Wahso Review

We returned to Wahso during our annual fall trip to see the stunning autumn foliage. This is our favorite restaurant in Park City and quite possibly, anywhere. My son leaned over and said towards the end of the meal "I can think of no better restaurant, can you Mom?" This is after a trip to London and Paris last spring with a culinary theme and Rome the year before...tough competition. Here are his comments: "The food at Wahso was better than ever. The cole slaw and corn that came with their spareribs were the best we have ever had. One of our all-time favorite dishes are their blistered green beans. Everything is always cooked perfectly and we could not find a single fault. Our server was attentive and had a good sense of humor." We were seated in one of their sumptuous booths that afforded some privacy around an elegant dining room that is remniscent of Shanghai in the decadent 1920s. They are known for their sake based martinis (saketini?) and I indulged in the Jade martini which had pineapple juice and midori. It was exquisite and I felt quite a value because it comes in a shaker and is essentially two martini glasses full. Wahso lives up to our very high expectations in delivering exquisite food in a uniquely stunning setting with top notch faultless service. It continues to earn its designation as our favorite restaurant.
