Fodor's Review

Just steps away from the Deer Valley lifts at Silver Lake Village, this modern interpretation of a luxury European château incorporates designer furnishings, heated towel racks, wet bars in hotel rooms, full kitchens in suites, gas fireplaces, and numerous windows to take advantage of the spectacular mountain views. The service is exemplary, and the on-site restaurant, Cena, offers traditional Italian dining in a warm and relaxing space.

The Chateaux at Silver Lake Review

OK-so we had high expectations for this hotel, given the pricing. While it was beautiful, and a great location for skiing, the service was lacking. We would request something, and it would take too long to come. Or we would tell them to wait a little while because we were changing for the hot tub, and they would come in 5 minutes while we were dressing. The 1st day, they forgot to clean our room and we came back to a mess at 3 in the afternoon.

Information from the staff was often incorrect, and the concierge was not knowledgeable or friendly. The room lacked common amenities that make one's life easier when traveling, such as hooks for towels and robes, and a place to put your toiletries. A pedestal sink is pretty, but not functional when you are staying somewhere for a week, and need someplace to put your things. All and all, I would expect a little better service from a place that charges $500 per night.

I think this is the best place to stay in Deer Valley/Park City. The condos are beautiful, amenities include: outdoor pool and hottub, restaurant/bar, fullservice salon and spa and excercise room. DV lodging will even food shop. All steps from the lift. The restaurant even has a great kids menu.
