Park City and the Southern Wasatch Feature

Top Reasons to Go

Outdoor fun: Regardless of the season, Park City is the epicenter of mountain adventure. There are three ski resorts, hundreds of miles of hiking and biking trails, and year-round sporting events ranging from 5K fun runs to championship bobsledding and freestyle skiing.

Deer Valley Resort: Consistently rated among the top ski resorts in the country, Deer Valley lets you bask on the snowy "beach" with a bowl of turkey chili after a day on the perfectly groomed slopes in winter and spring. In summer you can enjoy a minty cocktail on the deck following a hike, mountain-bike excursion, or relaxing chairlift ride.

Olympic spirit: Ski an Olympic run at Deer Valley, drop into the Superpipe at Park City Mountain Resort, or kick back and witness the performance of Olympic hopefuls at Utah Olympic Park. Top-notch athletes put on a freestyle aerial show in the summer, and training and competitions take place throughout the year.

Sundance Resort: At the base of snow-capped Mount Timpanogos, Robert Redford's resort pays homage to art and nature with artists-in-residence creating works of art before your eyes, a calendar of performances and speakers, and plenty of peaceful space in which to bond with Mother Nature.

Old Town: First laid out by silver miners in the late 1800s, Park City's historic Main Street has dozens of fine restaurants, bars, galleries, and boutiques. Though always vibrant, Park City's hub really gets hopping for big events such as January's Sundance Film Festival and August's Park City Kimball Arts Festival.
