Fodor's Review

Held on the second Saturday in August at the Golden Spike National Historic Site, this free annual festival celebrates the completion of the transcontinental railroad. Visitors of all ages enjoy reenactments, talks by railroad historians, and games including a spike-driving contest and handcar rides.
