Fodor's Review

Highlighting a chapter in history that unfolded decades prior to the railroad era, this 84-acre tract has replicas of the stockade and cabins that Miles Goodyear built in 1846. Guides in period costume interpret the ways of the early trappers. Picnicking facilities are available and canoes may be rented ($3 for a half-hour, $5 for an hour) in warmer months.
