The only Utah bar listed in Esquire magazine's ranking of top bars in the United States is also the oldest remaining saloon in the state. In operation since the 1880s, it's a favorite hangout of skiers in winter and a beloved destination for bikers in summer. On the outside it could have come straight out of a Western movie; on the inside rustic accoutrements draw the eye in every corner––dollar bills pinned to the ceiling, comical signs, scruffy old boots,
rifles, teapots, and the mounted head of a Saint Bernard dog on the wall. The menu doesn't stray far from beer and burgers, but many consider the burgers served here to be among the best in the country. If you're really hungry, order the Star Burger—a hefty double cheeseburger topped with a Polish hot dog.
