Tony Grove Lake

Tony Grove Lake Review

From Logan, U.S. 89 continues for 30 mi up Logan Canyon before topping out at the crest of the Bear River Range. Within the canyon are a number of campgrounds and picnic areas administered by the Wasatch-Cache National Forest. For a particularly satisfying excursion, drive the 7-mi side road (marked) to Tony Grove Lake. At more than 8,000 feet, this sub-alpine jewel is surrounded by cliffs and meadows filled in summer with a stunning profusion of wildflowers. A short trail circles the lake, and other backcountry routes enter the Mount Naomi Wilderness Area to the west.
