The Greenery Review

It's hard to tell if this black-and-white-tile riverside restaurant is deliberately kitschy or trying to be one version of authentic Utah, but if a Mormon muffin, ham-it-up sandwich, or homemade caramel apple pie suits your fancy, this is the place. After lunch or dinner, browse the thousands of square feet of trinkets, souvenirs, and books at Rainbow Gardens next door for just the right piece of Utah to take home with you.

    The Greenery Review

My husband and I were shopping in Rainbow Gardens last night when we became hungry. I guess we assumed that since Rainbow Gardens is such an upscale, fun place that their restaurant would be a good one. Boy, were we wrong! I've not had worse food since I ate at my 1st grader's school a few months back. I ordered the turkey enchilada and found that it was filled with DELI turkey! Come on people, you can at least use ground, seasoned turkey. It's not that expensive. The sauce was mediocre and I had to ask for Tabasco sauce to make the salsa they gave me (I was told it was Pace's mild salsa) hot enough to be noticed. The meal came with corn chips...warmed over Tostitos. My husband felt the same way about his meal. It also had deli meat in it and some watery version of Hollandaise sauce covering it. Truly terrible stuff. We were sick for the rest of the night. The only saving grace was their Pumpkin Cheesecake. It was well-flavored and drizzled in caramel.
