The main information center for the Utah side of the gorge is the Flaming Gorge Dam Visitor Center. Displays and a movie explain aspects of this engineering marvel, and depending on national terrorism alert levels and weather conditions, the dam may be open for free guided tours leaving every hour until the late afternoon.
