Dinosaur National Monument Campgrounds Review

You can camp at six spots inside the monument, but only two are developed sites. Both campgrounds are along the Green River, have a bit of shade, and are surrounded by canyon scenery. Green River Campground is only open when the water is turned on, from approximately April to October, and it has a boat ramp for rafters with permits. Split Mountain Campground is open year-round, but only larger groups can camp there from approximately April to October. After the water is turned off in the fall, it's open to all, and vault toilets are available. Reservations are not accepted at either campground, except for groups at Split Mountain in the summer.
