Fodor's Review

The small town of Duchesne is probably best known for its proximity to Starvation State Park, most likely named for the early homesteaders and cattlemen who battled bitter winters, short growing seasons, and other hardships in the area. Now boaters and anglers come to cast for walleye, yellow perch, and smallmouth bass in the park's 3,500-acre reservoir. There are six campgrounds within in the park, two of which are developed. Bring sunscreen, as there is little natural

shade on-site.
