You'll swear you've walked into one of the great lodges of Western legend when you walk through the doors at Red River Ranch. The great room is decorated with wagon-wheel chandeliers, Native American rugs, leather furniture, and original Frederick Remington sculptures. Guest rooms are meticulously and individually decorated with fine antiques and art; each has a fireplace and most have a patio or balcony overlooking the grounds. Pros: Furnishings and artifacts so distinctive they could grace the pages of a design magazine. Cons: Rooms are on the small side, and in summer you may wish for air-conditioning.
