On the grounds of the Boulder Mountain Lodge and voted Best Restaurant in Southern Utah for eight years in a row by Salt Lake Magazine, this remote eatery is well worth the drive. The menu, featuring specialties like smoked trout quesadillas and strip steak with lemony mashed potatoes, is inspired by Native American, Western range, Southwestern, and Mormon pioneer recipes (a cookbook is to be published in 2015). The owners, who are also the chefs, have a historical connection to the area, and many of the ingredients they use come directly from their own organic farm. Because they insist on fresh ingredients, the menu changes seasonally. The restaurant closes between lunch and dinner, 2:30–5.
