Sego Canyon

Fodor's Review

About 39 miles from Moab, this is one of the most dramatic and mystifying rock-art sights in the area. On the canyon walls you can see large, ghostlike rock-art figures etched by American Indians approximately 4,000 years ago. There's also art left by the Ute Indians 400–700 years ago. This canyon is a little out of the way, but well worth the drive.
