West Texas Sights

Fort Davis National Historic Site

Fort Davis National Historic Site Review

Tucked snug in the Davis Mountains, Fort Davis is regarded as one of the best surviving examples of Old West frontier posts. Troops were garrisoned here to protect travelers and mail coaches from American Indian depredations. There's no lodging or camping.
