Grace Museum

Fodor's Review:

The Grace Museum isn't a museum, but three museums, all tucked into the graceful floors of historic Grace hotel in Abilene's historic downtown area. The four floors of the Grace house an art museum, a history museum, and one just for the kiddos. The art museum features rotating exhibits that can range from paintings to sculpture to photos. Check out the touchable, musical, wooden sculpture. The history museum showcases Abilene's transition from a small town to the city it is today, with furnishings and exhibits that reflect the period. The Children's Museum is bright, airy and full of fun things to do, from hands-on exhibits to a child-size bird's nest to roost in. Admission is free after 5 PM on Thursdays.

  • Cost: $5
  • Open: Tues.-Wed. 10-5, Thurs. 10-8, Fri-Sat. 10-5
