Hangar Hotel Review

Literally located along the landing strip of Fredericksburg's local airport, the Hangar Hotel is an homage to the town's famed Museum of the Pacific War designed and outfitted with just about every relic and detail you can imagine in an World War II-era hotel. Don't worry, you won't be bothered by the roar of 747s taking flight; the planes here are small, private prop planes and barely noticeable inside the hotel. Rooms each have king beds and are simple, yet comfortable in 1940s style décor. The adjacent diner is your typical old-school soda fountain establishment, serving up hearty breakfasts of bacon, eggs, hash browns, and pancakes each morning. The stylish on-site Officer's Club bar is a popular evening gathering spot for guests and locals alike. Discount rates offered to seniors and military service professionals.
