Riven Rock Ranch Review

It's a bit off the beaten path, but if you can bear with a bend or two in the road, you'll find this Hill Country treasure. Three ranch-style cottages and one late-1800s farmhouse have immaculate Texas-meets-French-countryside interiors, gas fireplaces, and beautiful views of the hills. The ranch also has a large meeting/entertaining hall that accommodates up to 150 people, and an intimate dining room that serves up to 50 guests for special events. Standing in the center of the property, a former water tower has been converted into an observation tower.

    Great Hill Country Stay

    We stayed here for a wedding and rented the entire Farm House. It was beautifully furnished, and was stocked with everything you would want if you planned to cook or grill on the gourmet grill. There was a welcoming fruit/cheese/charcuterie platter and champagne waiting for us. The Farm House had lots of character. Breakfast was included (limited selections) at the open-air restaurant at the top of the hill, and it was good. It is a bit remote, about 45 minutes to an hour from San Antonio, but only 30 minutes from Fredericksburg.
