The Crossings

Fodor's Review:

This spa and hotel, on a hilltop overlooking Lake Travis, is a luxurious camp for adults. The compound is spread out over several acres, with eco-minded architecture of native limestone and aluminum rooftops. Float in peace at the negative-edge pool; you'll feel like you're hovering over the lake. The guest rooms are contemporary and comfortable, free of distractions from the outside world (read: no television). Pros: Beautiful surroundings, spa with excellent massage therapists, healthy food. Cons: Difficult to get Internet access in rooms, spotty cell-phone service.
