Hudson's on the Bend

Fodor's Review:

Chase the sun west from Austin to where an unforgettable experience awaits in this refined little ranch house. This is the place for expertly crafted wild-game dishes such as pistachio-crusted rattlesnake cakes or rich pheasant-confit tamales with white chocolate-tomatillo sauce. In celebrated chef Jeff Blank's kitchen, the philosophy is "cooking fearlessly." Although the restaurant can accommodate families, the soft lighting and the conversation-inspiring art cater to an adult crowd.
