Fodor's Review

A masterpiece of baroque splendor with Spanish Mission and Mediterranean-style influences, this 1929 movie and vaudeville theater one time showcased such talents as Jack Benny, Bob Hope, and George Burns. Today the fully restored, 2,311-seat theater spotlights current and up-and coming stars while serving as a venue for touring Broadway shows like Miss Saigon, The Color Purple, and Phantom of the Opera. It is also the resident performance space for the San Antonio Symphony Orchestra.
