Marriott Rivercenter Review

With more than 1,000 rooms, more than 80,000 square feet of meeting space, and a 40,000-square-foot ballroom, this 38-story hotel (attached to sister hotel Marriott Riverwalk) has all the pluses—and minuses—of a very large hotel. You will likely have all the services you could want and you're in the heart of the action, but if you're looking for a secluded getaway, this isn't it. An update of common areas completed in February 2008 modernized the restaurant and two-story lobby.

    Marriott Rivercenter Review

This hotel is undergoing renovations. Noisy hammering and drilling from approximately 7 AM to approximately 5 PM, sometimes so loud I can't hear the TV. Impossible to concentrate and get any work done. This is outrageous considering I'm the price I'm paying for this room. Only relief when complain is that they'll give me some "extra points." They say renovation noise is a problem in all the rooms so changing rooms is not gong to do me any good. Not likely to stay at a Marriott in the future so extra points are worthless to me. Wired internet $12.95 per day - and even higher at business center. There are lots of better places on the Riverwalk to stay in than this place.
