With more than 1,000 rooms, more than 80,000 square feet of meeting space, and a 40,000-square-foot ballroom, this 38-story hotel (attached to sister hotel Marriott Riverwalk) has all the pluses—and minuses—of a very large hotel. You will likely have all the services you could want and you're in the heart of the action, but if you're looking for a secluded getaway, this isn't it. An update of common areas completed in February 2008 modernized the restaurant and two-story lobby. Pros: Great location, friendly staff. Cons: Pricey parking, outrageous fees for extras like bottled water.
