Aldo's Ristorante Italiano

Fodor's Review:

This outpost of northern Italian fare near the Southwest Texas Medical Center and USAA is in a warm and homey century-old house. Fresh, simple fish, chicken, beef, game, and pasta dishes are paired with attentive service. A small patio allows you to dine alfresco, but you may prefer sitting in the bar, which has live piano music in the evenings.
