Since 1909 this attractive downtown hotel has been a favorite of cattlemen and business travelers. The marble lobby has a beautiful coffered ceiling supported by massive columns. Rooms have antique reproduction furniture, large desks, and a masculine-contemporary design. The hotel is in a less-developed part of downtown, but is less than a block from the River Walk. It's generally a better value than hotels directly on the river, especially for a historic hotel.
