San Antonio Sights

The Witte Museum Review

Teach your kids about science in an adventurous way, with hands-on exhibits and log cabins to explore. The museum covers all things Texan, from the area's dinosaur inhabitants to the white-tailed deer that roam the region today. Children especially love the treehouse out back—some kids (though perhaps not their aunts and grandmas!) also love the exhibits of slithering animals (think snakes and the like). The museum is near the zoo in Brackenridge Park, which lies between Broadway and Highway 281, south of East Hildebrand Avenue and north of I-35. Seniors and kids pay discounted admission.
