A warm, almost clubby atmosphere—especially in the bar, with its fireplace and leather sofas—lets you know to expect more than the typicCambridge Shopping Center, al Mexican fare at this Alamo Heights mainstay. Tempting offerings as varied as grilled snapper, enchiladas verdes (covered with green tomatillo salsa), pozole, hand-made flautas, and tacos al pastor (marinated pork with pineapple) are sure to please. And don't skip out on dessert—the rich flan and decadent tres leches cake are alone worth the trip to this hacienda-inspired spot. A scrumptious brunch with mimosas is served weekends.

    Luscious and lovely

    Great menu with some things you won't find at the ubiquitous taco stands, served in a nice but not stuffy (though sometimes a little loud) space. Outdoor dining is great in nice weather, and if gets too cool they break out the heaters. Try some of the excellent soups - almost a meal in itself.
