Originally opened in 1933 following the end of Prohibition, the Esquire Tavern has a storied past, forgotten for many years in its once dilapidated quadrant of downtown. The historic locale has welcomed new ownership and a facelift in recent years. When it opened its doors in 2011, many were curious to see if the craft cocktail bar could make the grade as a premiere hot spot. Its sleek, dark, 1930s interior blended with an elevated pub-grub menu certainly inspired a lot of hope. Today, it's one of the most loved bars in the city featuring an evolving menu of seasonal classic cocktails to enjoy whether for lunch, happy hour, dinner or late at night.
