The Denison and Sherman Area

Nestled up against the Oklahoma border, Denison, population 20,000, is small-town America with an artsy edge. Downtown, pedestrians stroll a main street lined with antiques shops, boutiques, art galleries, even artists' studios. An old-fashioned movie palace brings in crowds for musicals, concerts, and variety-type shows. In nearby Sherman, top draws are antiques stores and the Victorian homes of Heritage Row (the prize jewel being the 1896 C. S. Roberts House).
